…of the day: unique mobile experience in Canada?

So there’s going to be a new player in the mobile market in Canada soon. Wind Mobile has done what I think is a first in Canadian business marketing: ask the people what they want in a mobile service, setup a website, kiosks and print information saying that you’re going to revolutionize the industry in Canada.  Tell everyone that the competition is awful with their crazy fees.  Print ads in newspapers like the Globe and Mail and tell everyone that almost half of all complaints to the Better Business Bureau have to do with mobile service woes.

Will it work? They’re not divulging anything about what they will be doing and when… so here’s a link to their site so you can follow their progress:   http://bit.ly/6rVWEG

It’s either a great marketing ploy that will end up being a huge let down in the end… or it could go the way that ING Direct did with their savings account revolution. Let’s see what happens…
