…of the day: poetry animations

I’ve been feeling under the weather again, so my blogging will likely be minimal over the next few days. Here’s something amazing I happened to find on youtube. It’s a long series of animated poetry (in English and some in French). Whitman, Eliot, Frost, Sappho, to name a few, have been animated to make it look like they’re reciting some of their poetry. I’ve found it to be a beautiful way to relax on a Sunday afternoon.

If you want to see the full list of poetry animations, visit this link (hint, it works better in Firefox than IE):

And a few of my favourites:

Jacques Brel – “Our Deepest Fear”

Walt Whitman – “Goodbye my Fancy”

Victor Hugo – “On vit, on parle”

I like the way the animator got their eyebrows to move!
    I am such a choir nerd. :)
